I woke up at 1 AM with some hardcore munchies. I ate a rather large serving of fat free strawberry cream cheese and a big handful of reduced fat wheat crackers. Doh!
Part of me was tempted to just count those points toward Wednesday instead of putting myself over Tuesday's points budget. After all, it was 1:00 AM....but I don't think it's fair to cheat myself like that. Weight Watchers doesn't have "rollover" points :)

Another over-points day. But I actually don't feel too bad about it. I mean, I never use my 35 weekly flex points and today was the Super Bowl (what a great game, BTW!), the king of all snack food days. I feel pretty good about the fact that I went to a Super Bowl party and only had 4 chicken wings (baked, no breading), a bunch of celery and carrots (with no dip!), 2 wheat crackers w/ a Tbsp of cream cheese, and 1 small cupcake. That is SOOOOO much better than what I would have eaten had I not been on Weight Watchers. And this is all about changing my lifestyle, not dieting for quick weight loss, right? Plus, I drank tons of water and had plenty of fruits and veggies throughout the day.
I even found out exactly how many points were in the cupcake I ate. I asked the person who made them if she used a cake mix and if so, which brand, and she was happy to share how she made them. It was a box cake mix and homemade frosting. She gave me the recipe for the frosting (which was insanely delicious) and I was able to plug the ingredients into the WW recipe builder to figure out how many points each cupcake had. Of course, I did all this after I had already eaten the cupcake. I admit that if I would've known how many points that one little cupcake had, I probably wouldn't have eaten it. But what's done is done.
The lesson I learned from today is that I should leave myself a lot more points if I know I'm going to a special function where I might want a little treat.

1.5 points over!! Oops! It was the waffle fries. I thought they were only worth 6 points, but it turns out that since it was a medium order (I mean, I think it was - I assume that's what comes with a combo), they were worth 8. I should've just subbed for a fruit cup in the first place, but those fries sounded sooooo good to me.... and I also didn't feel like using my debit card just to pay the few extra cents difference when you request a fruit cup instead of fries. (I never carry cash)
Excuses, excuses.

Excuses, excuses.

Today is a classic example of staying within my point allowance, yet feeling a bit unhappy with what I ate. The evening was a total carb-fest. I was just really craving carbs. Maybe that's what my body needed? Yeah. My body NEEDED those Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pop Tarts. Ha! Definitely NOT going to have another day like today this week.
